Effective Date - 07/31/2020

1.) Summary

Thank you for visiting our website! Kaiyos Lex Publishing LLC (“Kaiyos Lex”, “KaiyosLex.com”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects our Users’ privacy. This policy outlines in clear language what customer information we obtain and how we use it.

Kaiyos Lex Publishing LLC works with advertisers, analytics providers, and other vendors to provide us with information regarding traffic on this Site, including and without limitation the pages viewed and the actions Users take when visiting the Site to provide us with information regarding the use of the Site and the effectiveness of our advertising.

This Site is intended for persons age sixteen and older. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children younger than the age of sixteen, and we will delete any Personal Information later determined to be collected from a User younger than the age of sixteen.

By using the Kaiyos Lex website (“Site”), you confirm you have agreed to the Terms of Service and read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2.) Key Terms

In our privacy policy, when we refer to “Users”, we mean those individuals who visit our Site. By “Site”, we mean Kaiyoslex.com, the website you are currently visiting, and any related mobile application. When we reference “Personal Information”, we are referring to any information that identifies or relates to an identified or identifiable individual, such as name, address, telephone number, email address, and similar information. Finally, when we reference “Terms”, we are referring to our Terms of Service, which can be located here.

3.) Information We May Collect Through the Site

We collect information in three main ways: first, by soliciting information from you through the use of forms; second, through information provided by third parties about you, including social media interactions; and third, through the use of cookies and other similar technology. Refusal to provide solicited information via forms will not impact your ability to use the Site, and all data collected through the use of cookies or other technology will be anonymized and aggregated so that it cannot be tied to a specific User.

3.a) Information You Provide to the Site

Kaiyos Lex Publish may ask you to provide Personal Information or other information about you, such as demographic information (ZIP code, gender, or age, for example), as well as information about your choices and preferences when consuming our content. If we combine other information with Personal Information, then we will treat the combined information as Personal Information under this Privacy Policy.

3.b) Information Provided by third Parties and Social Media

The Site may permit or facilitate interactions with an interactive third-party website or service (“Social Media”), such as enabling you to “like” or “share” content. If you choose to share content or otherwise post information from or via the Site to Social Media, that information may be public and the third party may have access to information about you and your use of our Site.

You may also choose to participate on Social Media in a way that connects that third-party service with our Site (such as posting to one of our pages on a Social Media Site or signing into the Site with your credentials from another website or service). Doing so may allow us to collect (or the third party to share) information about you, including without limitation Personal Information.

We may also receive information about you if other Users of Social Media give us access to their profiles and you are one of their “connections.” The information we collect is subject to this Privacy Policy.

The information collected and stored by the third party remains subject to the third party’s privacy practices, including, without limitation, whether the third party continues to share information with us, the types of information shared, and your choices with regard to what is visible to others on that third-party website or service. The third party may allow you to remove the application or feature, in which case we will no longer collect information about you through the application or feature, but we may retain the information previously collected.

3.c) Information We Collect Automatically Through Your Use of the Site

In addition to any Personal Information or other information you choose to submit to the Site, we, and our third-party service providers (including without limitation any third-party advertisers and content or analytics providers), may use a variety of technologies that automatically or passively collect certain website usage information whenever you visit or interact with the Site.

This information may include the browser and operating system you are using, the URL or advertisement that referred you to our Site, the search terms you entered into a search engine that led you to our Site (if applicable), all of the areas within our Site that you visit and the time of day, among other information.

The methods used to automatically collect data associated with your usage of the Site include but are not limited to the following:

Cookies & Local Storage. A cookie is a data file placed on a Device when it is used to visit the Site or otherwise access our online content. Certain web browsers and certain browser add-ons, such as Adobe Flash, may provide additional local data storage mechanisms that are used in a manner similar to cookies, and some of the content included on our Site may make use of this local storage. Cookies, Flash cookies, and other local storage devices may be used for a number of purposes (e.g., to identify your Device when you revisit our Site, to store information related to your navigation throughout our Site, or to enable certain features on our Site).

Some cookies are essential to the functioning of the Site, and, without them, some features and services you have requested cannot be provided. Other cookies help us to understand and improve how the Site works or allow us to personalize it for you. You may be able to refuse or remove some or all of these cookie and local storage technologies, such as through your browser settings. If you choose to do so, some features of the Site may not function properly. For more information, please review our Cookie Policy.

Web Beacons. Small graphic images or other web programming code called web beacons (also known as “pixels,” “1x1 GIFs” or “clear GIFs”) may be included in our web pages and email messages. Web beacons may be invisible to you, but any electronic image or other web programming code inserted into a web page or email can act as a web beacon. Web beacons or similar technologies may be used for a number of purposes, including, without limitation, to count visitors to the Site, to monitor how Users navigate the Site, to count how many emails that were sent were actually opened or to count how many particular articles or links were actually viewed.

Embedded Scripts. An embedded script is programming code that is designed to collect information about your interactions with the Site, such as the links you click on. The code is temporarily downloaded onto your Device from our web server or a third-party service provider, is active only while you are connected to the Site, and is deactivated or deleted thereafter.

In addition, we may use a variety of other technologies that collect similar information for security and fraud detection purposes.

Do Not Track Requests. Online tracking technology enables website operators to collect personal information about consumers as they move across websites and other online services. Most browsers incorporate “do not track” (DNT) features in their privacy settings. When enabled, a DNT signal or request informs a website operator that the visitor does not wish to be tracked online. The Site is currently designed only for tracking movement within the Site. We do not honor DNT requests, and do not treat visitors who make DNT requests differently from visitors who do not make DNT requests. We also do not differentiate between visitors who make DNT requests and visitors who do not make such requests, when it comes to the collection or usage of Personal Information.
