Tivoli is a verdant world of broad plains and vast oceans. Slightly larger than Umbria and orbiting a blue-white main sequence star, Tivoli's climate is temperate and welcoming. It features three primary continents, which together account for only about a quarter of the planet's total surface area, while its endless seas are made up of mildly salinated water.

While Tivoli is larger than Umbria, it is less dense, which gives it a noticeably lighter gravity. This in turn has allowed the planet's flora and fauna to grow to immense size, with tree-like plant species growing up to two hundred meters in height.

Among the last worlds settled before the discovery of the Ascomanni, Tivoli lacked the heavy metals and precious resources that would have attracted the Republic's wildcat miners or giant resource conglomerates.

Instead, it has turned into an agrarian hub, responsible for producing a significant amount of the foodstuffs consumed by its surrounding colonies. Several native plants and animals are edible, and both livestock and crops from other planets in the Republic have been successfully grown on the planet's fertile plains.
As the brutal Ascomanni invasion began to wash over the edges of the Frontier, Tivoli would quickly become a target. Fortunately, the majority of the planet's civilian population was evacuated before the enemy arrived in orbit.

Perhaps overconfident from previous victories, the alien's first assault was beaten back, though not before ground forces could be successfully landed.

Over the following weeks, the enemy remained illusive, hidden in the thick forests of Tivoli's largest continent. Finally, as a new, much larger fleet appeared overhead, the aliens launched an all-out attack on the Umbrian defenses.

Ultimately, the URN was able to cover the Army's withdraw, but the battle was costly in both space and on the ground, leaving Tivoli's natural bounty to the enemy.
