Invictus Flaminus is a skilled tactician and soldier who serves as the leader of Praetor Gaius Aurelius Marcellus's praetorian guard unit. Having worked his way through the ranks of the Umbrian Republic Army during the early years of the war, Invictus has been tested in multiple engagements, including the difficult and pyrrhic victory at Varese. It would be on Varese that Invictus would build a strong bond with Marcellus, and he would immediately join the latter's command upon his promotion.

Gaius Aurelius, known better to his friends and confidants by his nickname, Marcellus, is the youngest person ever to attain the rank of Praetor, or army group commander, in the history of the Umbrian Republic. Having fought on numerous battlefields across the Frontier, Marcellus would make a name for himself as a skilled tactician and leader. He impressed his superiors with a keen sense of when to be aggressive and when to dig in, and his actions would lead to a number of high profile tactical victories over the alien aggressors.

Doctor Mirabella Urbanus has been described as one of the brightest minds of her generation. By the age of eighteen, she'd already earned her first doctorate in biomedical engineering. Two more would quickly follow, and the young Doctor focused her efforts on the exotic plants and animals that had been discovered in the Frontier.

Triumvir Aula Eppia is the physical embodiment of the Republic's soul. Having served as Triumvir for more than thirty years, Eppia has been a steady and responsible voice in the Republic's political discourse, ever determined to prove to the people of the Umbrian Republic that their government continues to work for their best interest.

Vibius Sestius would be the last individual elected to the Triumvirate before the beginning of the Ascomanni War. A crusader for good governance, he would run a campaign which eviscerated the greed and corruption which had become endemic amongst the Republic's leadership. Pointing to the too-cozy relationship between Umbria's largest corporations and the people's elected representatives, Sestius would find his invection was well received by an increasingly weary public.

Publius Decius is the scion of the vaunted Decii family, whose members have had an outsized impact on the history of the Umbrian Republic. Born in 31098, Publius would immediately be immersed into the mythos of his legendary family, where service to the Republic was the epitome of a life well lived. His mother, a retired Senator, would expose him to much of the Republic's upper crust, creating relationships that would serve him well throughout his adult life.
