The Gadira-class frigate is a purpose built defensive warship designed to screen the fleet from enemy fighter craft and inbound munitions. As such, it places a much higher degree of emphasis on an expanded sensor suite, point defense weaponry, and defensive missile packages. This in turn means that it is poorly equipped for ship to ship combat, lacking sufficient armor or punching power to take on enemy warships.

The Pasaldo-class was a model of small warships, or corvettes, which saw extensive service with the Umbrian Republic Navy and the Frontier Reaction Force in the run up to and through the early parts of the Ascomanni War. It featured high endurance and a strong armament for a vessel its size, and would be produced in large numbers, with construction of new hulls continuing even to the present.

A relative newcomer to the trade fleets plying the star lanes between the Republic's scattered colonies, the Nagroc class would prove to be a huge commercial success, elevating its manufacturer, Independent Shipyards, Inc., from industry laggard to an important player in Umbria's shipping industry.

A workhorse of Umbrian commerce, the Opaeti is a class of light freighter which has been in production for almost a hundred years. A modular design, it features a bulbous crew section at the front of the vessel and a boxy engine section at the rear, which are connected by a thin structure which can accommodate a number of different cargo modules.

A ubiquitous sight across the battlefields of the Frontier, the GT-7 Larum is the Republic's default general purpose transport craft. Equally capable of atmospheric and spaceborne operations, the Larum is used by both the Repulbic Navy and Army, as well as by a host of planetary law enforcement and first response organizations. For the former clients, it operates as the default inter-fleet shuttle of the URN, while it is used as a light transport and air assault craft by the URA.

The Natrix multi-purpose strike fighter is the latest model Umbrian starfighter to join the URN's fleets. Capable of carrying significant payloads and armed with a powerful thirty millimeter rotary cannon, the Natrix is well equipped to serve numerous roles, such as interdiction and fleet defense, ground support, and fleet strike operations.
